APRIL IN REVIEW

Well, what can I say, we've been a little busy. We started off April at Grandma and Pap's house for a week. We did lots of fun things like: going to the zoo, going to a wedding, going to the park, seeing a farm, going shopping, and hanging out with Evy. We also spent Easter there. Hannah colored eggs and sang "here comes Peter Cottontail" a hundred times. Both kids were spoiled by the Easter bunny. Hannah found her basket after some helpful hints, but we had to practically put Ben on top of his before he noticed it. The kids also looked great all dressed up.

After we got home and life was somewhat back to normal the kids went back to their usual selves, which is, they won't play with their toys. This is annoying. How can a parent ever expect to do anything or have a minute of free time if there is constantly a child hanging on to their leg? Well, I deal with it. There's good days and bad days for all of us. We brought up a lot of Hannah's old baby toys for Ben to play with. He does sometimes. This is one of his favorites.

Whenever I'm in the kitchen, Ben has to be there too. He likes to get into everything, including the dishwasher. I like to find safe food containers for him and he bangs them around and takes them in and out. What could be more fun than that?

Hannah is not the only maraca player in the house anymore. Ben has discovered that this is a very cool toy and plays with it pretty often. Shake on little man!

We helped our neighbors get ready to move. Yes, the twins are leaving. The house is sold and we said our goodbyes to our good friends. We wish them the best of everything. A family with four children is moving in, we're hoping they're young and love to play outside.

The weather has finally perked up a bit here (after the brief delay over Easter). We've been spending a lot of time outside and Hannah spends every second she can in her sand table.

There's not much for Ben to do, so he usually hangs out in the swing, or maybe I let him crawl around on a blanket. He has ventured off into the grass a few times, and he did taste his first handful of dirt... and his second and third handfuls.

Well, May is going to be just as busy. Hopefully we'll have some visitors, too (hint hint). We'll try to post more than just once this month, but we're not making any promises.
