Am I really 4?

Ben has been four for almost three weeks now, and he's still not quite sure it's real yet. He keeps saying he doesn't feel it inside, even though he sure looks it on the outside! We celebrated several times and Ben enjoyed all the activities.

At Carrabba's a yummy sundae and birthday song.

Hanging out with his best buds in the backyard. They went on a bug hunt, ate dirt cake, and threw water balloons at each other. Super fun!

The birthday highlight: his first Build-A-Bear! Otto is dressed for the beach and looks quite similar to his person, coincidence? I don't know. Ben's happy he can play with Hannah and Linda now.

We hope you enjoy being four Ben, you've grown up so much. Now you're just more funny, adorable, and lovable!

Kindergarten Graduation

It's graduation day, from kindergarten! Hannah's school celebrates the kindergartners completing their school year with a special ceremony. Each student receives an award and diploma. Hannah's award-Responsible Learner. We are SO proud of her.

She's so excited!

The Rainbow class on stage singing "Proud to be an American"

The best kindergarten teacher in the world. Hannah is going to miss him so much, but luckily for her he's sticking around one more year before retirement. She'll see him lots during FIRST GRADE!

Now it's time for summer. Coming soon...Ben's birthday!

Busy Days

It's the end of the preschool year for Ben and our busy week turned into a busy weekend.

Thursday was Beach Day and he got to go in his suit. Instead of hanging out inside, they went out in the kiddie pool and sprinklers, and topped it off with popsicles.
We returned that evening for the annual Carnival and said goodbye to our friends.

Zoo Day, Jefferson loved this as much if not more than Ben. Ben was a little distracted by the stink caused by the unusually hot weather. But we still saw some animals and had a nice time.

To make up for our bad Mother's Day weather, we did our hike at Chittenango Falls on Sunday. It was a beautiful day for it and we love being outside. Afterward we hit Red Lobster some super yummy shrimp, even the kids!

Jefferson had a better view than all of us.

Monday was Memorial Day so we had to go to the parade in the village with our friends. The kids loved all the old cars and fire trucks, but most of all, the CANDY! We finished the day with smoked beef brisket on the new patio with our neighbors. Great day.

So, being busy isn't really all that bad, when you're still with family and friends. Looking forward to an awesome summer with all of you! Next up, Ben's 4th birthday and Hannah's kindergarten graduation!
