Not a Chair?

Kids don't have any preconceived notions about the uses of common household objects. This cradle is at the foot of her bed. Her baby dolls sleep there while she sleeps in her big girl bed; at least that's how it's supposed to work.

Hannah apparently thinks the cradle is a rocking chair that rocks sideways instead of back and forth. Apparently it worked, though, because that baby doll was out after a few short minutes of rocking.

Then there's the laundry basket. Yes, this receptacle can be used to carry dirty clothes down to the washer and clean ones up from the dryer, but that's not all. Hannah climbs in and says "G-g-go-wide?" (For those of you who don't speak Hannah, that means "Go for a ride?")

Quite an imagination she has. It is fun to watch. I just hope I am not stifling it by telling her to stay inside the lines.
